Dr Samuel Hahnemann MD discovered this most rational and gentle method of cure in 1790.He was German Physican...During his era most harsh methods of treatment were available which did nothing except increasing the agony of patient..Thus being quiet dissatisfied with then scenario he left his medical practice and paid attention to book translation into various languages.The doctrine was discovered while translating Cullens Materia Medica.He came across the sentence which was about to give birth to most reliable system of medicine..Cullen devoted 20 pages on efficacy of cinchona bark,in treatment of malaria..And he said cinchona can treat malaria because of its bitter taste and astringent effect on stomach...Intelligent and experimentive mind of Hahnemann did not believe on this strange and baseless explanation.He was of view that even if most bitter substances in world are combined together it would be still ineffective to cure malaria ...On one hand there were documented cases on cure by cinchona and on other hand he was of strong belief that there is something else in cinchona by which it can cure malaria.. And decided to take this medicine. To his suprise he found out that when he took 4 drachms of cinchona bark he developed intermittent fever like symtoms.His pulse rate was increased,had trembling in hands,fever,alteration of taste and all this symptoms occured only when he took the medicine and not otherwise...By repeated experiments of remedies which were well known for effective cure on himself and others he discovered medicines can cure because they can produce same symptoms of disease on healthy individual.. And thus when same medicine is given to the diseased person he is relieved of illness because of similarity of symptoms... “LAW OF NATURE”,also known as “THERAPEUTIC LAW OF CURE” or “HOMOEOPATHIC LAW OF CURE” which states that “weaker dynamic affection is permanently extinguished by stronger,if later is very similar to former in its manifestations”...He published his observations in Huefland's journal volume 2,under the title of “New Principles For Ascertaining Therapeutic Powers Of Drugs And Some Examples From Previous Observations”in 1796.... Thus from there begin the spread and journey of homoeopathy and in later years Dr Hahnemann publised several books on homoepathic medical materials,preparations of homoeopathic medicines,books on drug proving and organon of homoeopthic medicines...Immense medical documented cures by Hannemann and his successors as well as stalwarts of homoeopathy are publised which are part of current syllabus which homoeopathic doctors study during their training along with all medical subjects during medical graduation of 5 and half years...
